Q.

'Rainbow' is formed due to a combination of
(a)Dispersion and Focusing
(b)Refraction and Absorption
(c)Refraction and Scattering
(d)Dispersion and total internal Reflection Right sign

Comments

D is wrong. Total Internal Reflection cant happen inside a spherical raindrop, because by symmetry the angle of incidence for the light inside the drop will be the same as the angle of refraction when it entered the drop. Only A comes close to being correct. Light is concentrated at the rainbow angle by an effect that could be called similar to focusing.
